The City of Abbotsford is planning to construct a new splash pad and replace the existing playground at Ridgeview Park in the Townline neighbourhood to better serve the needs of the local community and meet the growing demand for water play amenities. Ridgeview Park is a 1.78-hectare park located at 3250 Vantage Place. Existing amenities include baseball and soccer fields, a playground, parking lot, walking paths, washrooms, and a community picnic shelter. The new splash pad and playground will be located near the park's main entrance, in a location similar to the existing playground. These improvements will complement the park's existing amenities and provide a fun, interactive, safe, and accessible space for residents and visitors of all ages. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026, with completion of the new park amenities expected by May 2027. The City of Abbotsford is requesting proposals from a professional, qualified and experienced company to construct a new splash pad and playground at Ridgeview Park, located at 3250 Vantage Place. The work should include mobilization, demobilization, safety planning, traffic control, demolition, and provision of all labour, equipment and materials required for the completion of the park construction.
