The City of Sugar Land seeks bids for furnishing all labor, material, and equipment, and performing all work required for the Gannoway Lake Trail project. The trail is located in northeastern Fort Bend County, bounded by Voss Road to the north, Burney Road to the east, Oyster Creek to the south and HWY 6 to the west. The project consists of : Widening the existing sidewalk along the west side of Burney road from north of Gannoway Lake Drive to Vinehill Drive with 1497 SY of new 8-ft sidewalk. The sidewalk will provide connectivity with the proposed 14-foot-wide boardwalk along the south edge of Gannoway. 936 LF of 14-ft boardwalk along the south edge of Gannoway Lake. 2700 SY of 10-ft wide shared use path from Gannoway Lake to the existing multimodal bridge. 711 SY of 8-foot sidewalk along the west side of SH 6 from Cullinan Park to Hull Lane intersection with a new pedestrian bridge over Oyster Creek. LF of slotted curb will also be installed. Pedestrian intersection safety improvements at SH 6 and Cullinan Park entrance and SH 6 and Hull Lane 62 SY of 6-foot sidewalk along the southeast corner of SH 6 and Hull lane that provides connectivity to the existing sidewalk along Crown Garden Trail. A trail head on the west side of Burney Road just north of Gannoway Lake Dr. The trailhead includes ten ( 10) parking spots and one (1) handicap spot. Drainage improvements such as 3 proposed culverts, ditch regrading along HW6 to accommodate the construction of the new 8-foot sidewalks and pedestrian bridge, and proposed swales.
