Renovation of a museum in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Replacement of roofing systems on five structures at the Centinela Adobe Historic Site, including historic and non-historic buildings. Includes assessment of existing conditions, installation of watertight roofing, project closeout inspections, as-built documentation, final lien releases, and waste disposal. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. Questions and Comments Due: September 2, 2026, at Noon (PDT) All questions and issues related to bidding requirements or information expected for each statement package should be submitted on the City of Inglewood's Planet Bids Portal. Bidders must perform a complete assessment of existing conditions to provide the services necessary to deliver fully functional, watertight roofing systems for each structure. The awarded Bidder must provide project closeout inspections, as- built documentation, final lien releases, waste disposal documentation, and photographs of the completed work. Hazardous Materials Testing - Asbestos/Lead : Before commencing roofing work, the Contractor must verify the presence or absence of hazardous materials that may be disturbed by the project, including asbestos-containing materials (ACM ) and lead -containing materials, as applicable. Testing must be performed by qualified personnel using appropriate sampling and laboratory analysis. The Contractor must comply with all applicable federal , state, and local requirements for the identification, handling, removal , containment, and disposal of hazardous materials. Historic Structures The following four (4) structures are historically significant and are considered contributing elements to the historic character of the property: 1. Main House 2. Land Office 3. Garage 4. Laundry Storage Building Roof replacement work on these structures must preserve the buildings' historic appearance and architectural character. Roofing materials must closely replicate the existing wood-shake roofing system, meet current building code and fire-resistance requirements. The structures must be approved by the City, before receiving roofing systems that: 1. Remove and legally dispose of the existing shake roofing system down to the roof deck. 2. Inspect the roof deck and replace any deteriorated decking or structural members as approved by the Owner. 3. Install a complete new roofing system including underlayment, waterproofing membrane, fasteners, and all required accessories per the manufacturer specs. 4. Replace all flashing, including valleys, chimneys, parapets, roof penetrations, and transitions. 5. Repair or replace the deteriorated fascia, soffits, trim, gutters, and downspouts as required to match existing historic profiles and materials, where visible. 6. Maintain weather-tight conditions throughout construction. 7. Preserve the historic architectural character of the buildings. 8. Comply with all applicable building codes and historic preservation requirements, per the California Historical Building Code (Sections 18950 to 18961 of Division 13, Part 2.7) . 9. Remove all debris daily and leave the site in a clean condition upon completion
