Description

Site work for a road / highway in Whitesburg, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Installation of willow tree cuttings between joint or rock openings of shoulder/embankment channel lining to reduce risk of scour and erosion. Letcher County Fiscal Court is requesting bids for live stake installation services at several locations around Letcher County. Services are to include staking willow tree cuttings 3 ft in between joint or rock openings of shoulder/embankment channel lining per construction specifications and drawings provided in the Kentucky Best Management Practices for Construction Activities. These mitigation measures will reduce the risk of future damage by preventing scour and erosion on associated embankments. Live stakes add strength and structure to the soil, and by reinforcing the channel lining, thereby helping to protect the integrity of the road during future flooding events Work can not start until the contract agreement is fully executed and the contractor has made contact with Letcher County Matt Amburgey at (606) 595-8710 to schedule work and work supervision/inspection
