Bid ID RFQu - 25-213 Time-Sensitive Emergency Services Work- 0-2026/AB Due to the critical role Fire Station #71 plays in supporting emergency response activities, it is essential that this work be completed as quickly as possible to maintain a safe, reliable, and functional facility for emergency personnel. Any delays in procurement, scheduling, or project execution may adversely impact station operations and overall emergency response readiness. Accordingly, we respectfully request expedited review of the attached Scope of Work and priority consideration of this Request for Quote (RFQ) to help ensure the project can proceed without unnecessary delay. The scope of work for fire station #71 for HVAC replacement and renovation shall be as follows. 1. Replace existing AHU- 1 and CU-1 with new system as follows (cut sheets provided for reference). New system shall be equal to Trane TWE090A air handler and Trane TTA072 condensing unit. Air handler to be provided with 2 speed air handler per plans with low speed set to 60% of maximum speed. 2. Provide accessory hot gas bypass valve to be installed inside condenser equal to Rawal part number APR-454-2 to provide constant condenser refrigerant pressure. (cut sheet provided for reference). 3. Provide accessory hot gas reheat system for air handler equal EasyDri installed on air handler discharge above air handler equal to mode number ED-5 (cut sheet provided for reference). 4. Provide new 2 stage thermostat from EasyDri to control low and high speed on air handler. When space temperature is satisfied, but humidity is above 60%, air handler shall run at low speed and hot gas reheat coil shall be energized to provide dehumidification of the spaces. Coordinate with Trane equipment supplier to integrate thermostat with Trane "Symbio" controller. 5. Remove AHU-6 and CU-6. Cap existing supply duct and outside air intake . Install temporary insulated metal blank-off panel and seal to prevent air or water intrusion. 6. Install Air Plus Ionizer air cleaner into supply fan section of new AHU-6. Model number shall be FM-2400 good for up to 2400 cfm. 7. Replace existing circuit breaker for CU-1 with a new 50 amp, 3 pole circuit breaker. Verify existing branch feeder size is at least #8 AWG copper wiring and replace with new wiring if necessary. 8. Remove existing AHU- 1 and heater circuit breakers. Remove wiring associated with these items. Provide new 50 amp, 3 pole circuit breaker for single point connection to air handler and heater. Provide new #8 AWG copper wiring to air handler. Provide blank off for additional 3 spaces in panel no longer used.
