Commerce Ave, Sebring, Florida 33870, Phone: (863) 402-6500; or E-mail : purchase@highlandsfl.gov The principal features of the Project are: The Work generally consists of demolition of the existing boat ramp and dock facilities and construction of a new boat ramp and dock improvements at the Lake Grassy public boat ramp located at 440 S Sun N Lakes Boulevard, Lake Placid , Florida, in accordance with the Contract Documents and engineered plans included as Exhibit A. The Work includes mobilization, maintenance of traffic, temporary site controls, erosion and sediment controls, demolition and lawful disposal of the existing boat ramp, dock, handrail , concrete walk, asphalt, gravel , signs, and other designated site features, earthwork, excavation, embankment, grading, dewatering, temporary excavation support, and construction of a new 18-foot-wide concrete boat ramp with V groove finish, bedding stone, footing, and riprap protection. The Work also includes furnishing and installing an approximately 50 linear foot by 8 foot wide accessible floating dock system with two 30 foot boat slips, dock anchorage and connections, a vinyl sheet pile bulkhead with single drop double wale system, tie rods, reinforced concrete Deadman anchor, structural cap, and drainage provisions, sidewalk, pedestrian railing, asphalt pavement, Type B stabilization, optional base, Type D curb, signs, safety ladder, depth indicator board, testing, inspections, construction survey, certified as built documentation, restoration, sodding, cleanup, and closeout. The floating dock, boat ramp footing, bulkhead, anchorage, and other delegated design elements shall be designed by a professional engineer registered in the State of Florida, with signed and sealed shop drawings and structural calculations submitted to the Engineer of Record for review before construction. Preliminary bulkhead design information and geotechnical soil parameters are provided for information and bidding purposes only and shall not be used for construction. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, temporary works, and incidentals required to complete the Work.
