Mays Corporation with an awarded amount of $95.20 per ton The Shelby County Road Depaliment and the Shelby County Fiscal Court are advertising for bids for the resurfacing of : 1. Little Crooked Creek Road 8,834 ' long 1.50" thick 1,121 tons (Shelby County Section Only) +/- Approximate TONS 1,121 tons The roads should take approximately 1,121 tons of asphalt surface . It must be tack coated and compacted properly . Milled edge keys where needed are incidental . Clearing the edge of pavement of vegetation is incidental . All bidders must be fully insured . Must provide traffic control that meets the MUTCD . The contractor will notify local residents of work dates by signage and door flyers at least 24 hours before work is to begin . Only bid item is asphalt , price per ton. The road must be completed and invoiced no later than May 17 , 2027. There will be a $ 500.00 per day penalty . Bids will be received only from bidders qualified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and a 100 % performance bond must be in place before project starts . Materials must meet KYTC specifications at all times . Shelby County Fiscal Court reserves the right to accept the bid deemed by it to be in its best interest, not necessarily the lowest bid; the right to disqualify bids from bidders not deemed to be qualified; the right to disqualify bids deemed to be defective, and the right to waive defects in bids where such defects are not deemed significant .
