Renovation of an educational facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

WVU is seeking a qualified Proposer to provide materials, installation, tools, equipment, and labor to renovate and upgrade the Engineering Sciences Building B66 Lab. Renovations to the existing HVAC system will be required to provide the adequate cooling required for the new FIB SEM being installed by Engineering Sciences in B66. Demolition and rework of existing duct work to be completed so that a new cassette style ductless split system unit and condenser can be installed in B64A to provide cooling for the new FIB SEM chiller. Existing fan coil unit and duct will be left in place for future use if needed by facilities. Electrical and exhaust rework to accommodate the new cassette style unit being installed shall be completed while also providing a 4" concrete condensing pad located in planter area of 1st floor. Other renovations to be completed consist of the following: power and data demo and rework for new FIB SEM owner provided equipment in B66, B64A, and B64B, rework of plumbing, drains and exhaust for those same rooms, undercabinet lighting and switching, new LED lay in lighting and controls for 2 zones, rework of existing ceiling grid system and tiles to create new 2x2 layout, new diffusers and returns, repainting of B66 Lab Cutoff for Questions DATE: 8/31/2026 TIME: 12:00pm EST Any explanation or clarification desired by a Proposer regarding the meaning or interpretation of any part of this solicitation must be submitted in writing to Andrew Funk andrew.funk@mail.wvu.edu via online portal. 1. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion a. Substantial Completion shall be: November 20, 2026 b. Final Completion shall be: December 4, 2026 c. Final Completion shall be when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the Owner. 1. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be: a. Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion. b. Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
