The City's ultimate goal is to utilize financial savings realized from more efficient buildings and reinvest those savings towards infrastructure revitalization and improving City services. Respondents shall support the City's goal by developing, implementing, and monitoring an infrastructure modernization and utility savings program that accomplishes the following: o Modernizes and upgrades aging infrastructure and facilities and improves utilization of technology o Replaces assets at end of life Aims to achieve optimum performance and savings while maintaining building functionality and compatibility with existing equipment Achieves long-term financial savings o Leverages all available funding sources to reduce project costs and provides comprehensive funding solutions Supports the City in meeting all State and Federal electrification requirements for fleet and equipment o Reduces energy demand and water use o Increases facility and infrastructure resiliency in the face of extreme events o Promotes staff health, well-being, and operational efficiencies Provides training to employees on maintenance and repair of equipment and controls Educates the public on the benefits of energy conservation, resilience, and facility upgrades
