Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Morley, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 14,688-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

This report presents the results of the energy model for the Mînî Thnî Fire Hall and EMS facility located in Mînî Thnî, AB. The proposed project consists of a 1,194 m2 fire hall and EMS services building. The energy model was simulated with IESVE 2025 to demonstrate energy savings relative to the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings 2025 (NECB) for code compliance. The climate data was based on the hourly CWEC 2016 weather file for Bow Valley, AB. This project is a Fire Hall and EMS facility comprising multiple major space functions with substantially different operational characteristics. These include fire apparatus bays (approximately 457 m²), office and associated support areas (approximately 231 m²), dormitory and associated circulation (approximately 96 m²), storage and locker rooms (approximately 151 m²), gym and dining areas (approximately 103 m²), electrical and mechanical rooms (approximately 50 m²), together with washrooms, circulation and other ancillary spaces, for a total gross interior floor area of approximately 1,194 m². While certain individual spaces may generally resemble standard archetypes such as office or multi-unit residential uses, the building as a whole cannot be reasonably represented by one or more of the building archetypes identified in Table 8.4.4.1 due to the substantial proportion of specialized emergency-response spaces and their unique operating characteristics.
