Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Taylor, Michigan. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation , incidentals, and supervision necessary to complete the full-width reconstruction of Michelle Court, Debra Court, and Jeanette Court. Work includes pavement removal, subgrade preparation , concrete pavement installation, drainage improvements, sidewalk and ADA ramp upgrades, restoration , traffic control, and compliance with all federal CDBG requirements. The Invitation to Bid states: "This project is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and is subject to prevailing wage requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act... Section 3, Equal Opportunity, and SAM.gov debarment requirements apply." 2. Project Locations Work shall occur within the public right-of-way of: o Michelle Court o Debra Court Jeanette Court As shown in the construction plans and topographic surveys. 3. Description of Work3.1 Pavement Removal & Subgrade Preparation The Contractor shall: Remove existing concrete pavement, drive approaches, sidewalks, and curb and gutter as shown on the removal plans. Excavate to final subgrade elevation, removing topsoil , vegetation , roots, and deleterious materials. Compact the top 12 inches of exposed subgrade to 95% maximum density (MDOT T-180). Proof-roll the subgrade under Engineer observation; unstable areas shall be undercut and replaced with engineered fill . o Install underdrain where shown in plans. Plans specify: "Excavate to depth of final subgrade... Compact top 12" of exposed subgrade to 95% max density... Proofroll final subgrade... remove and replace with engineered fill as directed."
