The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas has acquired approximately 6.9 acres at the intersection of North 78th Street and Riverview Avenue for the development of a new fire station serving the rapidly growing western portion of the county. The land acquisition was brokered by Block & Co. Inc. Realtors, with David Block and Camren Sinclair representing the seller. The site is strategically located near Interstate 70 and is identified as one of the last remaining development parcels with direct access to an I-70 interchange. The planned facility will enhance emergency response capabilities and support ongoing growth in western Wyandotte County. The location is also notable for its proximity to the proposed future Kansas City Chiefs stadium development area, positioning the station to serve anticipated commercial, residential, and entertainment-related growth.
