The North Manor Plumbing Renovations project consists of a comprehensive replacement of the plumbing systems serving 100 apartment units . The work includes replacing all existing domestic water supply and sanitary drain piping within each apartment and the basement along with new plumbing fixtures including toilets vanity sinks and faucets bathtubs with surrounds and faucets kitchen sinks and faucets washer supply and drain connections and new drain kits and faucets for wash tubs . To facilitate these improvements the existing gypsum wallboard walls and ceilings within the bathrooms will be removed to provide access to the plumbing and electrical systems . Upon completion of the rough-in work new gypsum wallboard walls and ceilings will be installed and finished . Additional architectural improvements include replacing existing flooring with new vinyl composition tile (VCT ) removing the existing bathtub windows and infilling the openings to match adjacent interior and exterior finishes and constructing a dropped gypsum board bulkhead over the shower to accommodate new exhaust ductwork . Electrical improvements include replacing existing bathroom switches and receptacles installing new exhaust fans in each bathroom and providing new vanity light fixtures . The project will be delivered through separate General Construction Mechanical Construction Plumbing Construction and Electrical Construction prime contracts .
