Site work and paving for a road / highway in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

a) The work shall include but is not limited to the Contractor providing sufficient equipment, materials and labor as necessary to perform pavement repairs within a work zone. b) Work shall conform to requirements of Section 507 of the WVDOH Standard Specifications. c) Prior to mobilizing or commencing work, the Contractor shall receive approval from the City Engineer for work methods used for pavement repairs. d) Repairs will be identified and paint-marked by the City Engineer and/or authorized agent. Work methods that remove excess pavement area and/or depth shall be incidental to payable quantities approved by the City Engineer. e) Open street excavations or similar hazards left overnight shall be suitably protected by steel plates or be located behind approved barriers. f) The contractor should consider maintaining at least one lane of traffic to accommodate vehicles. g) Streets have been allocated estimated tonnage for repairs. Any repair tonnage not used up for a particular street is not authorization to increase other paving quantities for the same street. Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) paving work and additional paving related work as needed throughout the contract year. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, Certified Check required.
