Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, storage, demolition, asbestos abatement, construction, and related services necessary to remodel designated areas of Building 17 at the VA Medical Center. Work includes renovation of floors, walls, ceilings, doors, and restrooms; installation of new Level 4 finished walls and paint; lead paint encapsulation in designated rooms; removal and replacement of ceiling grid systems and ceiling tiles; removal of existing carpet, flooring, wall base trim, and transitions; asbestos abatement of affected materials; installation of new vinyl flooring and vinyl wall base; floor leveling and transition corrections; and painting of interior doors, frames, and designated room areas. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The project also includes complete renovation of two restrooms, including demolition and replacement of plumbing fixtures, piping, floor and wall finishes, partitions, accessories, ADA-compliant grab bars, sinks, toilets, urinals, and associated improvements. Additional work includes construction of furred-out walls with metal studs, sink removal and associated piping demolition, installation of new blinds, repair and adjustment of an exterior door, furniture relocation and storage using a heated CONEX container, and phased construction activities required to maintain facility operations. The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the contract documents, specifications, drawings, and applicable regulatory requirements.
