Site work for a water / sewer project in Larchmont, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Reference Number 0000434465 The work consists of the installation of a new 1 1/2 -inch Type K copper water service line down the hill by the highway yard facility. The facility serves as an active municipal highway operations center. The work requires: field-verification of run lengths and connection points, safe transport and delivery of raw copper tubing and fittings, laying and proper bending/joining of the line within the open trench excavated by Town forces, hydrostatic pressure testing of the line prior to backfill, and cleanup of all contractor construction debris. Care shall be taken to protect surrounding municipal equipment, structures, and utility features within the work area. The Contractor shall abide by all work as proposed through the Town of Mamaroneck Engineering Department; Westchester Joint Water Works and Larchmont Mamaroneck Sanitation Commission Installation of new 1 1/4" copper water line to serve existing Commission office building. All work is on the private service located after the water meter pit at the property driveway. Trench excavation including bedding preparation, backfill and pavement restoration will be provided by others. The selected contractor will be responsible to provide the required materials outlined in the RFP documents and complete installation per building code and local water utility provider requirements.
