Renovation of a fire / police facility in New Baltimore, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Charter Township of Chesterfield's Facilities & Operations Department is soliciting qualified mechanical and plumbing contractors to submit sealed proposals to furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, testing, cleanup, and incidentals necessary to replace ten hydronic radiators throughout Fire Station #3 . The work is intended to provide a complete, safe, operational, and code-compliant heating installation. The Contractor shall perform in accordance with all stated intents, specifications and stipulations contained or referenced herein. In addition, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and services required to maintain the property in a safe an attractive condition throughout the contract period. Included Work o Field verify each radiator location, nominal length, height, depth, heat output, supply/return arrangement, valve location, mounting conditions, and clearances before ordering. oCoordinate access and protect occupied areas, apparatus, furnishings, floors, walls, and adjacent finishes. Isolate, drain, and make safe the affected portions of the hydronic system ; remove and legally dispose of the existing radiators and associated debris. Furnish and install new Runtal radiators or approved equals, end caps, brackets, supports, valves, fittings, adapters, escutcheons, and all necessary piping for a complete installation. Reconnect to the existing hydronic heating system, flush system, and refill system with water inhibitor. New materials shall be compatible with existing system materials, operating temperatures, pressures, and water chemistry. Refill the system, purge air from all affected radiators and piping, check for leaks, restore normal pressure, and balance/adjust flow as required for proper operation. Start up and test each radiator through a heating call . Demonstrate leak-free operation, heat delivery, valve operation, and absence of objectionable noise. Patch and restore minor openings and finishes directly disturbed by the work to a neat condition. Identify any anticipated finish work not included in the base bid. o Remove debris daily and leave work areas broom clean. Maintain Fire Station operations and emergency access at all times unless the Township authorizes a specific interruption . Provide closeout documents, warranty information, product data, and a marked radiator schedule identifying installed model and location. Remove and replace 10 radiators units with end caps, including necessary piping, valves, fittings, supports, and accessories, labor, removal, disposal , refill, purge, testing, and |startup.
