Interior remodel of four public housing units. SWVH seeks one or more licensed West Virginia contractors to complete a full interior remodel of four (4) public housing apartment units at the following two locations: Sophia, WV. Unit number(s): 303 Mabscott, WV. Unit number(s): 606, 505, 303 The scope below includes the minimum work requested, and may be expanded based on previously unidentified need . The four apartments are considered to be in remodel , and bidders should consider what additional work might be needed. A walk-through is highly recommended. Scope Includes: 1. Apartment Number/Location: 123 Smith Street, Mabscott WV, Timberline 606: Restoration of Damaged Ceilings, Drywall Repair, Painting, Cabinet Work that included installation, repair, and movement of fixed cabinets, replace bathroom floor, tub, shower. Check for existing mold or decay from prior water damage and remediate; replace damaged kitchen floor. 2. Apartment Number/Location: 123 Smith Street, Mabscott WV, Timberline 505: Installation of new range, kitchen plumbing needs diagnosed and repaired, Hot Water tank repair/replace, general plumbing diagnosed, drywall repair/painting, redo trim throughout where damaged/needed, installation of new tub and shower, replacement of interior steps. 3. Apartment Number/Location: 123 Smith Street, Mabscott WV, Timberline 303: Damaged ceiling(s)/water damage repair that may include water remediation, drywall repair/painting, installation of tub and shower, bathroom floors replaced, new interior door replacement, fixture and wall outlet replacement 4. Apartment Number/Location: 150 Maple Street, Sophia, WV, Appletree 303: Significant remediation of interior walls, mold remediation, flooring replacement where damaged, refurbish bathrooms with new vanity(s), order/install new kitchen cabinets, counter tops, sinks, installation/replacement of baseboard trim. All work shall be performed to current applicable code and to a reasonable 15 to 20 year useful-life standard based on modern code, materials, and performance expectations. Proposer shall obtain all required permits and schedule all required inspections. Final inspection and close-out reporting are required prior to final payment. Estimated Units: Four (4). Unit numbers will be confirmed by addendum or at the pre-bid walkthrough. Occupancy Status: Unoccupied. If units are occupied, phased work and resident coordination are required. Contract Type: Lump Sum with down payment. Performance Period : Substantial completion within 45 calendar days of Notice to Proceed (NTP); final completion 10 calendar days thereafter.
