The City of Vancouver (the "City") invites tenders from qualified contractors with demonstrated experience and expertise in horizontal directional drilling (HDD), trenchless utility construction, underground electrical conduit installation, utility coordination, and construction within active municipal rights-of-way to complete the Strathcona Electrical Upgrades project in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to: Acting as Prime Contractor and providing all labour, supervision, management, equipment, tools, materials, permits, and subcontractors required to complete the Work; Supply and installation of HDPE conduits, associated underground electrical, communication infrastructure (incl. but not limited to junction boxes, electrical wiring, etc.); Horizontal directional drilling (HDD), trenchless construction, excavation, backfilling, and utility daylighting as required to complete the Work; Provision of water source to accommodate HDD method of installation Provide a directional drilling profile/plan for review prior to construction Fusion, installation, and testing of HDPE conduit systems; Coordination with utility owners, stakeholders and COV operations, including obtaining required permits, approvals, utility locates, and assistance with electrical terminations and disconnects; Installation of conduit crossings beneath roadways, sidewalks, and existing utility corridors in accordance with the Contract Documents; Traffic management, pedestrian management, site safety measures, and public protection within active municipal rights-of-way; Sidewalk, asphalt, boulevard, and surface restoration, including temporary and permanent restoration works; Disposal of waste materials and site cleanup; Provision and maintenance of fencing, security, environmental protection, and erosion and sediment control measures as required; Completion of all required inspections, testing, documentation, record submissions, and as-built information; and Completion of all mobilization, demobilization, restoration, and final turnover activities in accordance with the Tender Documents.
