Anolick at danolick@emmetcounty.org no later than 3:00 PM EST on September 16, 2026 The scope of work shall include saw-cutting the existing HMA parallel to the tip-wall , removal of existing concrete and HMA surfaces where designated on the plans, and excavation of soft or subsided areas behind the existing sheet pile wall as indicated in the project drawings. Excavated areas shall be compacted as necessary to eliminate voids and soft spots and to mitigate additional settlement. Reconstruction of the affected areas shall include placement of #4 stone in soft areas, capped with lean concrete behind the wall. Concrete pavement shall be constructed along the edge with an 8-foot-wide HMA surface to transition to the existing pavement. The existing aggregate base shall be graded to match the new section, with additional aggregate provided as required. A 4-foot-tall steel wear plate shall be installed along the lower face of the steel sheet pile for the full required length. The void area shall be filled with concrete shaped to direct drainage away from the wall . Existing concrete shall be cut and/or chiseled as necessary to allow the edge to sit below the surface. Grout shall be used to seal the toe area. Miscellaneous work shall include temporary removal of guardrail and supports along the edges as necessary to accommodate the work; installation and maintenance of temporary protections during construction for areas with potential fall hazards; coordination with the Owner to maintain partial operations during construction; replacement of guardrails in their original locations; and all other labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide the Owner with a complete project in accordance with the plans.
