Renovation of a mixed-use development in North Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
SES Project: 23022.019 The Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, labor, quality assurance, and supervision necessary to complete renovations resulting in a complete, compliant, and fully functional project in accordance with the contract documents, drawings, and specifications. The project will provide steam service to Green House Homes 201 and 202 by removing and replacing existing gas-fired hot water boilers and gas-fired steam generators. Each home contains two gas-fired hot water boilers and one gas-fired steam generator. The new system will utilize steam-to-hot-water heat exchangers in place of the existing boilers and clean steam duct-mounted humidifiers in place of the existing humidification equipment. Construction activities shall be phased to minimize disruption to residents and facility operations, as both homes are expected to remain occupied during the work. Replacement and installation of each duct-mounted humidifier shall be completed during a one-day air handling unit (AHU) shutdown. All required materials must be on site before the shutdown, and the interior ductwork in the immediate installation area must be cleaned and free of debris before the AHU is returned to service. Location: Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064-3048. The Contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 280 calendar days Project Magnitude: Between $5000,000 and $1,000,000.
