Replacement of house lines and service lines at approximately 3000 locations including hydro-excavating curb boxes, excavation in driveways/sidewalks/tree lawns, water main exposure, and site restoration. Set-asides:3.1% MBE and 2.3% WBE Engineer's Estimate: $4,238,825 Question Deadline 09/09/2026 at 11:00 AM ET submitted through the online portal. City Issuance of Responses to Questions September 10 by 11:00 am This project includes specialized work at 3000, plus or minus, locations throughout the City of Akron Water service area on private property and in the public right-of-way. This work will be comprised of two (2) contracts, each with approximately 1500 locations. The work shall include but not be limited to hydro-excavating curb boxes to determine house line and service line material , excavation in driveways, sidewalks, or tree lawn to expose existing water mains and curb boxes, installing new house lines and disconnecting/renewing service lines. The Contractor(s) shall be responsible for coordinating work and gaining access to private property if necessary. The Contractor(s) will install new house lines from the curb box into the meter. The Contractor(s) shall be responsible for any and all restoration within the right-of-way and/or private property if necessary. The Contractor will be required to coordinate all activities with City of Akron Water Distribution, notify customers of the interruption of their water service, and restore the site in a timely manner. Traffic will be maintained as much as possible if necessary. All work shall be performed within 300 calendar days of notice to proceed
