Question Deadline 09/22/2026 at 2:00 PM ET SCOPE OF WORK The City of Winter Haven, FL, in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), seeks to enhance the appeal and functionality of the existing pond . This project aims to transform the area adjacent to the pond into an activated space that connects to adjacent retail and commercial spaces. The improvements will include landscaping, pedestrian pathways, seating, and other enhancements to create a vibrant and inviting environment within the downtown area. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, and obtaining all applicable permits, licenses, insurance, and supervision necessary to complete the project as specified herein. All proposed improvements shall be completed in accordance with the project bid documents, design plans, details, technical specifications / scope of work and all applicable federal , state, county, and local regulatory requirements. DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS A. Landscaping Planting of native and drought-resistant plants and trees. Installation of sod and ground cover in designated areas. o Mulching around plant beds and trees. Incorporation of decorative elements such as rocks, boulders, and water features. Compliance with Florida-Friendly Landscaping(TM) principles. This will include installation of irrigation and landscaping items as the plans detail . B. Pedestrian Improvements Construction of ADA-compliant pathways and walkways. This will include the installation of sidewalks around the top of the pond, a boardwalk with seating, and crosswalks at several locations. C.
