Renovation of a military facility in New Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to define the requirements for the removal of existing flooring and installation of new commercial-grade flooring systems at USCG Station New Haven. The work shall provide durable, low-maintenance, slip-resistant, and professional flooring surfaces suitable for Coast Guard administrative, operational , berthing, kitchen, and circulation spaces. Location-120 Woodward Avenue, New Haven, CT 06512 period of Performance Estimated 30-45 calendar days after Notice to Proceed (NTP), unless otherwise approved by the Contracting Officer The project includes removal and replacement of existing flooring throughout approximately 1,777 square feet of designated space, including: Conference room o Hallways and circulation areas o Command Center Three (3) offices o Three (3) berthing rooms o Kitchen area o Main entrance and side kitchen entrance mat locations Removal of Existing Flooring Remove existing laminate click flooring and any other existing floor coverings within the designated work areas. Remove existing adhesives, debris, fasteners, damaged underlayment, and surface contaminants as required to prepare the substrate for new installation. Collect, stage, and dispose of removed flooring materials and project debris in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Protect adjacent walls, doors, furniture, equipment, casework, fixtures, and existing building components from damage during demolition and installation. Subfloor Preparation o Inspect wood and concrete substrates after flooring removal. Prepare wood subfloor seams , joints, transitions, and uneven areas to create a smooth , level , installation-ready surface. Skim coat as required over wood and concrete substrates to address imperfections and achieve proper transitions between floor finishes. Perform cleaning, sanding, patching, leveling, and moisture testing as required by the flooring manufacturer prior to installation. Use glue neutralizer, primer, patching compounds, and related preparation materials as required to obtain proper adhesion and long-term performance. If grinding or sanding is required , control dust and debris to prevent migration into equipment, supply vents, berthing areas, workspaces, and other sensitive areas.
