This section outlines the Scope of Work for the Chiller Replacement at Windsor Knolls Middle School, Ijamsville, Maryland 21754, Frederick County. The project consists of removing and replacing the existing air-cooled chiller, associated piping and installing an automatic glycol feed system. Controls for the new air-cooled chiller and automatic glycol feed system will be integrated into the current JCI Metasys system. The existing pumps will have new pressure differential sensors installed to monitor status. Electrical work to support the mechanical work shall be provided. Alternate No.1 will be addressing minimal insulation needs for the existing chilled water system. The Contractor shall and will, in good workmanlike manner, do and perform all work and furnish all supplies and materials, machinery, equipment, facilities, and means, except as herein otherwise expressly specified, necessary or proper to perform and complete all the work required by this contract, within the time herein specified, in accordance with the provisions of this contract and said specifications and in accordance with the plans and drawings covered by this contract and any and all supplemental plans and drawings, and in accordance with the directions of the Board of Education, as given from time to time during the progress of the work. He shall furnish, erect, maintain, and remove such construction plant and such temporary works as may be required. He alone shall be responsible for the safety, efficiency, and adequacy of his plant, appliances, and methods, and for any damage which may result from their failure due to their improper construction, maintenance, or operation. The Contractor shall observe, comply with, and be subject to all terms, conditions, requirements, and limitations of the contract and specifications and shall do, carry on, and complete the entire work to the complete satisfaction of the Board of Education.
