The Town of Barre is seeking bids for paving the EMS parking lot at 4 McLaughlin Road. The town is looking to repave the parking lot. The contractor shall remove and dispose of existing pavement surfaces. The contractor shall fine grade the parking lot so water shall run to the appropriate drainage structures. If gravel material is needed to bring the parking to grade it will be supplied but the Public works department. The grading of such gravel will be considered incidental to the lump sum price. There shall be two lifts of pavement in the parking lot. Both lifts shall be a 50 blow marshal mix. The base lift shall be 1 3/4" type III pavement and a 1 1/4" top course of type IV. The Asphalt liquid shall be 58-28. The bid will be a lump sum price and includes all the necessary equipment, labor and materials to complete the project. The area of the Parking lot is roughly 8,200 square feet and the estimated number of tons is 160 tons.
