No definite date for the rebid** For the following: Mitchell Library Renovation Lighting Completion o Furnish and install final light fixtures throughout the library in areas where rough-in electrical is already in place. o Install switches, dimmers, and occupancy/vacancy sensors as required by code and owner preference. o Provide decorative and task lighting for the coffee shop, circulation desk, reading areas, and children's sitting area. o Test and balance lighting levels to meet applicable illumination and energy code requirements. o Provide as-built lighting layout and fixture schedule at project closeout. Coffee Shop Build-Out o Construct interior build-out of designated coffee shop area, including framing, wall finishes, and ceiling finishes. o Install millwork/casework for a service counter, back counter, and customer queuing area. o Connect coffee shop equipment and fixtures to existing plumbing and electrical rough-in (final connections only; no new rough-in included unless noted in bid documents). o Provide finish flooring, counter surfaces, and signage/menu board provisions coordinated with Section 3.3 (Flooring). o Coordinate location and clearances with applicable fire and accessibility code requirements (aisle widths, counter heights, etc.). Flooring o Remove and dispose of existing damaged or non-conforming flooring as identified in bid documents. o Furnish and install new flooring throughout renovated areas (e.g., resilient flooring, carpet tile, or equivalent as specified in finish schedule), including all areas listed in this SOW. o Install transition strips, base/trim, and floor protection as required. o Ensure flooring materials and installation meet applicable slip-resistance and accessibility requirements. Bathrooms (Restrooms) o Complete finish-out of restroom(s), including wall and floor finishes, ceilings, and painting. o Install final plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, faucets, partitions, accessories) connecting to existing rough-in plumbing. o Install restroom accessories (grab bars, mirrors, dispensers, hand dryers/paper towel dispensers) in compliance with ADA and Alabama accessibility code, consistent with the accessibility features already established in the prior project phase. o Provide final electrical trim (light fixtures, exhaust fans, GFCI devices) connecting to existing rough-in. Storage Room o Complete finish-out of designated storage room, including wall, floor, and ceiling finishes. o Furnish and install shelving, storage racks, and/or cabinetry as specified by the owner. o Provide adequate lighting and, if applicable, electrical outlets connected to existing rough-in. o Ensure door hardware, locks, and access provisions meet code and owner security requirements. Library Desk -- Center Console Build-Out o Design and construct the center console section of the main library service desk, integrating with any existing desk components. o Provide millwork/casework with a durable work surface, integrated storage, cable/data management, and task lighting. o Coordinate console height and clearances to meet ADA accessibility requirements for at least one accessible service point. o Coordinate electrical and data/low-voltage connections with existing rough-in for computers, phones, and pointof- sale or check-out equipment. Children's Sitting Area -- Design Concept o Develop a design concept (not full construction, unless separately authorized) for a dedicated children's sitting/reading area. o Concept should address: layout and zoning within the library floor plan, seating types (e.g., floor seating, low bench seating, soft seating), age-appropriate furniture scaling, durable and easy-to-clean finish materials, color palette, sightlines for staff supervision, and safety considerations (rounded edges, tip-resistant furniture, codecompliant clearances). o Deliverable: concept narrative, furniture/finish selections, and a layout drawing or rendering for owner review and approval prior to any construction authorization.
