The City of Cambridge would like to invite you to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for Request for Qualifications for Trade Contractors for 158 Spring Street. This project is a M.G.L. c. 149A Construction Management at Risk project comprising the comprehensive renovation of the former Kennedy-Longfellow School, a three-story castin-place concrete structure constructed in 1972 totaling approximately 101,590 gross square feet on a 2.1-acre parcel . Work includes replacement of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems; building envelope work with concentration on exterior doors and windows; interior finishes; food service areas; and accessibility improvements. The building will be unoccupied for the entire duration of construction. This Request for Qualifications covers building trade work only; site and athletic field work at the adjacent Ahern Field will be procured under a separate, later prequalification.
