Renovation of a municipal facility in Midvale, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Salt Lake County (County) is soliciting proposals from qualified general contractors to provide construction services to Salt Lake County for the Midvale Campus Renovation (Project). The Midvale Campus building has been acquired by Salt Lake County to serve as the County's new main government center, replacing the existing government center located at 2100 South. The facility will be renovated to accommodate a broad range of County government functions, including public services, departments and divisions, the Mayor, the County Council , and their supporting staff. The renovated facility is intended to provide a centralized, accessible, and welcoming environment for the public, including a dedicated service center designed to improve access to County services. The project will also create a modern workplace environment that supports the County's established hybrid work model and the evolving needs of its workforce. Consolidating County functions within the Midvale Campus will promote greater collaboration and coordination among departments and divisions, strengthen connections between employees and leadership, and create a more cohesive environment for delivering services to the public. The renovation will transform the existing facility into a functional, flexible, and efficient government center that supports both current operations and the County's future needs. The Midvale Campus project involves the renovation of approximately 250,000 square feet within the existing three-level building, along with improvements to site parking and select supporting facilities. The project will transform the existing facility into a secure, flexible, and highly functional County government center while incorporating new public-facing services and shared amenities. This solicitation is the first stage of a Two-Stage Bidding process. Stage I will involve the short-listing of general contractors based on the selection criteria outlined in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). 2-5 general contractors (Contractors) who are selected to advance pursuant to this RFQ shall be allowed to submit bids for Stage II of the selection process. The Stage II award will subsequently be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Deadline to submit Questions : Sep 16th 2026, 1:00 PM MDT Question submitted to online. A Bid Bond will be required during Stage II .
