Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

The work generally includes: The Platte Landing Park Trail Improvements project generally consists of improvements to the existing pedestrian and multi-use trail system within Platte Landing Park and adjoining areas in Parkville, Missouri . Work includes removal of portions of the existing asphalt trail , boardwalk, and other existing improvements; construction of a new concrete multi-use trail , generally 10 feet in width with transitions to 6 feet at constrained locations; connections to existing sidewalks, trails, parking areas, and the existing pedestrian bridge; and associated grading, drainage, culvert, crosswalk, ADA accessibility, and site restoration improvements. The project also includes construction and modification of the park parking area, including concrete pavement, 28 standard and 10 ADA parking spaces, pavement markings, signage, accessible routes, and connections to S. Main Street. Additional work includes storm drainage improvements, a rain garden , water and utility improvements, erosion and sediment control , tree protection and selective removal, landscaping and planting, and restoration of all areas disturbed by construction.
