Description

Renovation of a laboratory facility in Ithaca, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

Modernization and upgrade of existing greenhouse infrastructure, including replacement of aging lighting systems and environmental control hardware, and installation of a new controller platform for remote access and enhanced environmental monitoring. The objective of this project is to modernize the environmental control and supplemental lighting infrastructure within Greenhouse "A" at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) Upland Farm Campus. The upgrade will improve environmental monitoring and control capabilities, increase energy efficiency, enhance reliability of greenhouse operations, and support USDA-ARS research programs requiring controlled environment plant growth facilities. The project includes replacement of existing lighting infrastructure with energy-efficient LED grow lights and replacement of the existing greenhouse environmental control system with a Wadsworth Seed 24 control platform.
