Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Replacement of sanitary and storm pump systems at Glencairn Station. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. Main Mechanical, Architectural , Electrical , and Structural Scope of Work: In one (1 ) Cleaner's Room and one ( 1 ) Valve Room and all related and associated corridors and common areas, Provide temporary sumps, primary and back-up pumps with complete temporary retaining basins , power, control , and piping systems. Provide provisions for temporary pump connections, including piping, hose connection fittings, power, starter, Hand-Off-Auto (HOA), and receptacle. Provide temporary pumping provisions during construction until permanent system is functional. After setting up a complete and functional temporary retaining and pumping system, remove existing pumps, tanks, piping, valves fittings, hangers, accessories controls, and wiring. Verify existing Site and pits' conditions, utilities, and dimensions, and confirm dimensions for new installations. Empty all sludges, power wash the pits, and verify the condition of the concrete in the sump pit. Dispose of any remaining liquid, effluent, and deposits in the existing sump and tank in a lawful manner. Safely dispose of materials in accordance with the requirements of authorities having jurisdiction. Request TTC for inspection of pits after being power washed and the concrete is exposed and record all defects required for repair Work. Confirm all methodologies for repairing exposed defects with TTC prior to start of any repair Work. Do not conceal any area prior to sign off by TTC. Perform cleaning, concrete repairs, and crack injection within the sump pit to allow for acceptable application of waterproofing. Provide new trap primers at new hub drains, new access ladders, new sump pit covers, lifting and fall protection davits for all pits, required coring, firestopping, scan for rebar and conduits prior to drilling anchor bolts or core drilling, replace damaged receptacle in pump room, provide labelling for all new equipment, replace damaged floor tiles and wall blocks with the new ones (same colour, material, and size to be consistent with the existing ones Provide one (1 ) lifting and fall protection davit for each room. Provide holes and sleeves as required in each pit. Provide firestopping at all new and existing wall and slab penetrations per applicable codes and TTC requirements and provide certification letters from firestopping manufacturer's and qualified third-party independent inspection companies confirming all firestopping are installed in compliance with applicable codes and TTC requirements. Repair floors in the Pump Rooms to ensure that floors are free from tripping hazards. No projections or recessions shall be left on the concrete floor, or at the interfaces of concrete floor with floor hatches, embedded items, and other objects already installed, or are to be installed on the floor. Repair and patch all unevenness to satisfaction of TTC. Provide interference drawings of the installations, including field measurements of room and existing equipment and obstructions which are to remain, as well as layout and dimensions of new equipment, based on reviewed Shop Drawings. Conduct CCTV videotaping and prepare detailed reports for the pump discharge lines. Remove and properly dispose of the existing sump pumps, together with associated piping, control , and power components from the Cleaner's Room and Valve Room. Install new pumps and piping in the Cleaner's Room and Valve Room , including all necessary piping, control systems, and power connections . The new sump pit covers shall be flushed with the adjacent floor slab, and not to be raised as per the current condition. Repair floors and pits to ensure functionality and performance. Remove any slipping and tripping hazards. 3.2.17 3.2.18 3.2.19 Provide new pit ladders and pit access hatches for enhanced safety and access. Provide temporary fencing to the temporary laydown area. Provide fall arrest system. 3.2.20 Provide temporary sanitary pumping system in the Cleaner's Room and Valve Room complete with all power, control, and piping systems. 3.2.21 3.2.22 3.2.23 3.2.24 3.2.25 3.2.26 Remove and properly dispose of the existing sump pumps, along with associated piping, control, and power components, from the Cleaner's Room and Valve Room. Relocate services as required and as indicated on Contract Drawings. Install new pumps and piping in the Cleaner's Room and Valve Room, including all necessary piping, control systems, and power connections. Remove the existing electrical feeders, conduits, disconnects, and starters of the existing pump complete with conductors back to the source panel. Provide temporary power to the temporary pumps. Provide new starter, disconnect switches, conduits, control , and power cables from control panels to new pumps . Provide power and controls from control panels to pumps . 3.2.27 Provide control conduit and wires to SCADA rack. 3.2.28 Provide heat tracing as specified. 3.2.29 Provide new ladders. 3.2.30 Repair the existing housekeeping pads. 3.2.31 Remove existing feeders/conduits/disconnects of the existing pumps
