Renovation of a water / sewer project in Fairfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Isolation, disconnection, removal, and replacement of an existing Make-Up Air Unit at the Return Activated Sludge building. Question Deadline 09/16/2026 at 4:30 PM ET Location : online portal The replacement unit shall be an in-kind replacement utilizing a Reznor Model RPBL500 or an approved equal. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the work in a complete and operational manner. The scope of work shall include, but is not be limited to, the following: 1. Isolate, disconnect, remove, and legally dispose of the existing rooftop Make-Up Air (MUA) Unit. 2. Furnish and install one (1) new Reznor Model RPBL500 or approved equal. 3. Provide all crane services, rigging , lifting equipment, traffic control (if required), and associated labor necessary for the safe removal and installation of the rooftop unit. 4. Remove existing ductwork, gas piping, electrical conduit, wiring, controls, and associated components as necessary to facilitate removal of the existing unit. 5. Reconnect and modify existing supply and return ductwork, gas piping, and associated mechanical systems as required for the new unit, including all transitions, fittings, supports, sealing, and insulation. 6. Provide all new gas piping, piping insulation, ductwork, roof curb modifications (if required), flashing, roof patching, weatherproofing, and accessories necessary to provide a complete and watertight installation. 7. Provide all required high-voltage and low-voltage electrical wiring, conduit, fittings, disconnects, controls, and terminations necessary for a complete installation. 8. Furnish and install a new electrical disconnect switch serving the new rooftop MUA unit. 9. Remove and replace the existing circuit breaker serving the rooftop MUA unit with a properly sized breaker as required by the equipment manufacturer and applicable electrical codes. 10. Interface the new rooftop MUA unit with the existing building automation/control system and integrate all required control points to ensure proper operation with the existing facility controls. 11. Perform equipment startup, operational testing, balancing (if required), commissioning, and verification of all safety devices, controls, thermostats, and operating sequences in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. 12. Coordinate all work with WPCF personnel to minimize disruption to plant operations. 13. Remove all debris from the site and restore all disturbed areas, including roofing, mechanical, and electrical systems, to a clean and fully operational condition upon completion.
