The project renovates an existing dining hall with commercial kitchen into an Admissions Center for the college. The conversion includes extensive removals and hazardous materials abatement throughout the interior and exterior of the building. The interior spaces will be extensively reconfigured with new partitions, doors and windows. All finishes will be new including flooring, ceilings and wall treatments. Other interior features include new doors and case work. New windows will be added largely on the south side of the building. A new canopy and vestibule on the north side inclusive of aluminum storefront framing and doors. Composite cladding is planned for the north and south facades. The roofing system will be replaced and a service stair constructed to the roof. Building mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems are replaced with some existing infrastructure remaining such as the electrical transformer and switch gear. New HVAC equipment includes a chiller planned of the mechanical penthouse, an Air Handler on the 1st floor and fancoil units throughout the occupied spaces. Perimeter radiation is generally included at exterior walls. Plumbing systems will be replaced to support new restrooms and storm water design. A new fire protection system will be added to the building utilizing a water line to the west of the building. Electrical distribution, power, data, fire alarm and lighting systems will be replaced. Site work includes a new plaza on the northeast side of the building. Storm water work is planned in proximity to the building. A new generator is planned for the west side of the building.
