Design and construction administration services for the replacement of two existing bridges, including geotechnical investigations, surveying, bridge design (Plan and Profile), and construction observation. SCOPE OF WORK The following is a general overview of items that the County feels are necessary for these Projects, but it is not intended to be a full list of the services that the Consultant may deem necessary to complete this project. Preliminary Design Phase The Firm shall be required to: 1) Identify and evaluate regulatory requirements. (BLM, DEQ, WYDOT, City of Rock Springs, Army Corps of Engineers, etc.) 2) Provide a Geotechnical Design Report for the foundation design of each bridge 3) Provide a Complete Survey with X-Sections, Utilities, and Right-of-Way location 4) The midway portion of the phase will include a meeting with the County Engineer to go over the 25% design plans. This phase will include but may not be limited to:a) Cross section of the proposed roadway, channel , and other appurtenances b) Conflicts with utilities or other unknown conflicts that would require special attention during the remainder of the design process. c) Horizontal and vertical alignments d) Type, size, and location of structure e) Hydraulic Design Report including Scour Analysis f) Regulatory memos required for Final Design g) Preliminary Construction Schedule Memo to define if both bridges can be built at the same time without disrupting business, emergency response, and overall traffic patterns.
