Renovate and upgrade areas of the Solid Waste Scale House, including improvements to the control area, office areas, and extending the south scale building. Includes a PEMB addition to the east, renovations to the office/control section, and an alternate for a metal framed addition to the break room, new restroom, and storage space. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, Performance Bond required (unspecified amount), Payment Bond required (unspecified amount). Question Deadline 09/14/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening the Bids will not be answered. The Project includes renovating and upgrading areas of the Solid Waste Scale House, including improvements to the control area, office areas, and extending the south scale building. An alternate is included in the bid for providing an additional restroom, expanding the employee break area and providing additional storage. The base design includes an addition extending the scale part of the building to the east with a PEMB that matches the existing building, renovations to the office section of the building that includes the control area on the east side to include providing at access windows with transaction drawing to the exit scale and refresh and updating of the three offices in the center section of the building. Alternate # 1 includes a metal framed addition to the north side of the existing break room that will expand the current break area and add an additional restroom and storage space to the facility along with update and refreshing the finishes. Phasing of the project is most likely necessary as the scale house must remain operational at least in a limited capacity during construction. The Phasing plan will need to be coordinated with the city and the scale house staff.
