Foster County is requesting bids for reroofing designated buildings at the Foster County Fairgrounds. The purpose of this project is to remove the existing roofing materials and install new steel roofing, including the necessary underlayment, trim, fasteners, and related materials. The successful bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, and related services necessary to complete the reroofing project. The work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: A. Removal of Existing Roofing Remove existing asphalt shingles and tar paper. Include removal and proper disposal of all roofing materials. Contractor shall leave the work area clean and free of roofing debris upon completion. B. Roof Board Inspection and Repairs Inspect existing roof boards after removal of the existing roofing materials. Refasten roof boards where necessary. Identify any roof boards requiring additional attention or repair. Any replacement or significant repair of damaged roof boards shall be identified to Foster County prior to proceeding with additional work. C. Underlayment Install synthetic roof felt underlayment over the existing roof decking. Underlayment shall be installed according to the manufacturer's specifications and applicable installation requirements. Removal of existing asphalt shingles and installation of new 29-gauge green steel roofing, including underlayment, trim, fasteners, and related materials for multiple fairground buildings.
