The Town of Exeter invites sealed bids for the renovation of the future Town Hall located at 742 Ten Rod Road, Exeter, RI 02822 The Project will consist of an interior renovation to a currently vacant building owned by the Town. Renovations will include construction of new walls, finishes, ceilings, and doors. The construction delivery method is Design-Bid-Build. This project must be completed with final payment made by the Town of Exeter no later than December 20th, 2026 in order to utilize grant funding used for this project. This is an unoccupied building during construction, with the exception of early voting time periods (see drawing specifications). The awarded General Contractor will be required to provide a proposed schedule for approval and inclusion in the construction contract. Upon receipt of bids, the Awarding Authority will determine whether the apparent low bidder is responsible and can be awarded the Contract. The Awarding Authority will reject bids when required to do so by the State General Laws. In addition, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in bidding and to reject any and all general bids if it deems it in the public interest to do so. All bids shall remain in effect for 45 days (Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded) after opening. Successful bidders shall agree to commence work and complete the Work in accordance with the dates set forth in the Bid Documents. An agreed-upon schedule must be provided by the tentatively awarded low bidder for acceptance by the Awarding Authority. The intent is to start construction immediately.
