The Work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to : the implementation of the Well 3R, which includes the installation of the submersible pump, motor, and pitless adapter; installation of process piping, valves, instrumentation, and all appurtenances; disinfection/chlorination of well and process piping; providing 12-inch diameter ductile iron raw water main from Well 3R to Well Station 3 ; raw water sample piping; new sample sink and connections; Well Station 3 architectural and structural modifications, including repairs to existing concrete retaining wall ; door replacement; new lighting; concrete spall repairs, masonry crack repairs, painting; removal and re-setting of chain link fencing; installing a concrete splash bad; removal, legal disposal, and replacement of the existing roof system of the GP2 Well building; all necessary surface restorations; programming and installation of all instrumentation and controls equipment; integrating the new well into the SCADA system; excavation and backfill ; loam and seed; environmental controls ; well decommissioning and abandonment; coordination of MassDEP certification(s); Conservation Commission coordination; demolishing and legal disposal of the existing Well Station 3's HVAC and electrical equipment and installing new HVAC and electrical equipment as noted in the Contract Documents. The work also include asbestos abatement, presumed PCB removal and disposal, and lead-based paint exposure and related work site clean-up and waste disposal.
