Site work for a water / sewer project in La Tuque, Quebec. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Reference number: 20170003 There is provision for a tendering process for each tender No Description The Trois-Rivieres Port Authority (APTR) is requesting bids for the project mentioned in the title. The bidding documents can be obtained from September 9, 2026, on the electronic tendering system (SEAO). General description of the work for the 2026 Shard Removal Campaign project - Maintenance dredging works: Located on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, halfway between Montreal and Quebec City, the Port of Trois-Rivieres is a strategic maritime infrastructure for freight transport and regional economic development. Due to the natural sedimentation processes that affect navigable areas and docking zones, accumulations of sedimentary materials occur gradually over time, to which may be added accumulations of various debris, notably from infrastructure and work carried out there, such as stones and concrete fragments. In order to maintain the water depths required to ensure safe navigation, dock accessibility and smooth port operations, the Port Authority periodically carries out maintenance dredging. The APTR wishes to receive offers of services in order to mandate a specialized contractor to carry out the dredging of shoals identified in front of docks 9, 13, 17, 19 and 20 at the port of Trois-Rivieres. The estimated maintenance dredging volume is approximately 15 m3, distributed among these five docks; the distance separating the most distant docks from east to west is less than 2 km. The project also includes, as an option, dredging related to the extension of docks 9 and 20 to the port of Trois-Rivieres. The dredging volume associated with this work is estimated at 95 m3, and the disposal site is located 3 km from dock 9 (which is the farthest). The selected Contractor shall provide the qualified labour, Tooling, expenses, materials or equipment to carry out the work in accordance with the requirements of this tender documentation. The services and goods provided must be carried out according to the rules of the art in order to provide the APTR with comprehensive work of the highest quality. The work must be carried out in autumn 2026. Delivery schedule The Successful Bidder must be able to start the preparatory work as soon as the Notice of Tender is received; the work must begin on the date requested by the APTR. However, the work itself must begin only on the order of the APTR. The dredging work must be carried out in an efficient manner, without disrupting port activities under any circumstances or considerations. The precise dates and schedule of the Work will be set as soon as possible after the contract is awarded, in order to optimize the execution, notably according to the occupation of the docks and the maintenance of port operations, at the discretion of the APTR, in consultation with the Contractor and the handlers whose operations rely on the use of docks affected by dredging operations. Thus, coordination will be necessary between the Contractor and the APTR to specify the period when dredging work can be carried out and the docks will be unoccupied. The APTR will take charge of coordinating with the various handlers the movement of all equipment or materials located in the intervention zones.
