Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Arlington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a five-story above grade elderly care / assisted living facility.
Upgrade of fire alarm and fire protection systems throughout an existing five-story, 67-unit elderly housing facility. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond. Set-asides: 6% MBE, 7% WBE. Question Deadline 10/02/2026 at 2:00 PM ET All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online The design replaces the existing system in its entirety with a new addressable fire alarm system, including a new control panel, remote annunciator, and Class A signaling line/Class B notification circuiting throughout the building. New devices include smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pull stations, and audio-visual notification appliances in all units and common areas, along with dedicated elevator lobby, hoistway, and machine room detection. A new data gathering panel and booster power supply in the Level 4 electrical room will extend system capacity to the upper floors, and the new system will also monitor sprinkler waterflow/tamper switches and generator status.
