Conversion of an existing open irrigation canal to a buried irrigation pipeline including supply and installation of PIP and steel pipe, appurtenances, excavation, backfilling, and compaction. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. The work is located approximately 0.5- mile southeast of Kinsey, Montana, more specifically described as the NE/4 of Section 2 and the NW/4 of Section 1 of, Township 9 North, Range 48 East, Custer County, Montana. The Project consists of the conversion of an existing open irrigation canal to a buried irrigation pipeline as part of the Kinsey Irrigation District's (KID's ) delivery system. The project will consist of the supply and installation of approximately 5,123 lineal feet of 24 -inch diameter 80 psi Plastic Irrigation Pipe (PIP), 27 feet lineal feet of 18-inch diameter 80 psi PIP, and 57 lineal feet of 18- inch diameter 12 -gauge steel . Appurtenance for the pipe shall also be supplied and installed that include but are not limited to elbows, air vents, tracer wire, thrust blocks, tees, etc. The pipeline shall be buried to a minimum depth of 42-inch from existing ground to the top of pipe. Topsoil along the pipeline route shall be stripped to depth of 16-inches, salvaged and stockpiled , and replaced on properly compacted backfill after the pipe is installed. Revegetation of the disturbed areas will be performed by others, but the Contractor shall limit their disturbance footprint as much as possible. The headgate and concrete turnout at the beginning of the pipeline will be performed by KID. The pipeline will be terminated at STA. 51 + 23 and STA. 52 + 07 for producer interconnect. A tee at STA. 48+ 83 will be installed by the Contractor and connected to the existing pipeline. The bid form will allow the bidder to provide costs for just the materials, just the labor/equipment for installation, or both.
