Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Galax, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Grading of the existing baseball field to improve drainage. Question Deadline 09/25/2026 at 12:00 PM ET All Questions Should Be Emailed to: Rita Moxley, Procurement Specialist, rmoxley@galaxva.com The project generally consists of: Grading approximately 0.7 acres to establish a level infield playing surface. Excavation of a portion of the embankment behind the home plate backstop to accommodate construction of a new retaining wall. The retaining wall will be constructed by City staff. Installation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of drain tile within the infield area, with connection to an existing storm drainage line. Final tie-in to the storm drain system will be performed by City staff.
