The MARBLEHEAD HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Dry System Sprinkler Renovations at State Aided Development: Roads School (667-5) in Marblehead, Massachusetts The Project consists of but not limited to: Replacement of existing attic dry sprinkler piping system in like size. Replacement of existing dry valve assemblies (2) for nitrogen filled systems. Associated cutting, painting and patching of entire top floor ceiling, Electrical and Fire Alarm scope of work. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Fire Protection Sprinkler System, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the MARBLEHEAD HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. General bidders must agree to contract with minority, women and veteran-owned business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO). The participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 8% MBE, 5% WBE and 3% VBE for all state and state-assisted construction projects over $150,000.
