The Town of Marblehead, acting through its Board of Selectmen will receive sealed bids under MGL c. 30 39M for furnishing and applying pavement markings. Question Deadline 08/18/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents shall be submitted via online at least seven (7) working days prior to the proposal deadline The Town of Marblehead is requesting bids for a one-year contract for roadway painting on various streets throughout the Town with two option years at the sole discretion of the town. The vendor will provide all paint, materials, equipment, labor, insurance and required traffic control to complete the project. All work must be done in accordance with these specifications, the applicable portions of the Massachusetts Highway Department, and the Federal Highway Administration Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD). All traffic line paint used on this project must conform to the current State of Massachusetts Highway Department 1995 Standard Specifications for Highway and Bridges Section 860-40 M7-01-23 and M7-01-24 for Highway construction. Painted areas to be protected from traffic until the paint is thoroughly dry. Paint will not be applied to pavements, which are dirty, damp, or cold. Paint will not be applied when the pavement temperature is less than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. For centerline painting if occurring in multiple locations throughout town, hours of operation shall be between 12 am and 5 am. Any deviation from this required approval from the Director of Public Works or their designee
