Coachella Valley Association of Governments ("CVAG"), a California joint powers authority, invites sealed bids from qualified contractors for the construction of the CV Link Cable Railing Project ("Project"), pursuant to Invitation for Bids No. CV2027-IFB-01 ("IFB"). The Work generally consists of cable railing installation along the CV Link at Adams Street, with unit pricing for potential additional cable railing installation of up to 1,000 linear feet through Additive Alternate Bid Items at other CV Link locations as described in the Bidding Documents; including furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision , permits, and incidentals necessary to complete the Project in accordance with the Bidding Documents. The initial Adams Street Work shall be completed within 60 CALENDAR DAYS after the date established in the Notice to Proceed. The total Contract term shall be 365 CALENDAR DAYS from the Notice to Proceed. Work authorized through individual Task Orders shall be completed within the timeframe specified in the applicable Task Order. Liquidated damages in the amount of $3,600 PER CALENDAR DAY will be assessed for each day completion is delayed beyond the applicable Contract Time, as provided in the Bidding Documents. At the time of Bid submission and throughout performance of the Contract, the Contractor shall possess a valid California Contractor's License, Classification (C-13 - Fencing Contractor), as required by applicable law. This Project is subject to the payment of prevailing wages in accordance with the California Labor Code. Contractors and Subcontractors performing Work on the Project shall comply with all applicable Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) registration , prevailing wage, certified payroll, apprenticeship, and other public works requirements. Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form and amount required by the Bidding Documents.
