The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, oversight and permits required to Demolition and removal of existing dual 42 inch pipes, concrete culvert, and walls, installation of a precast culvert, associated site work, erosion and sediment controls, bypass pumping, site preparation and restoration, temporary and permanent traffic control, paving, guiderail installation, and stream reconstruction including pools and riffles. The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, oversight and permits required to demolish and remove the existing dual 42" pipes, concrete culvert, and walls on Blacksmith Road in Weisenberg Township and install a precast culvert included but not limited to all associated site work, erosion and sediment controls, bypass pumping, site preparation and restoration, temporary and permanent traffic control, paving, and guiderail installation. Manufacture, delivery of the new culvert and footers will be completed by the manufacturer which has been bid and awarded by the Township. Sitework contractor will be required to coordinate delivery and placement of the new culvert and footers with the manufacturer The stream reconstruction involves a series of pools and riffles that extend 150 feet through the streambed beginning approximately 50 feet upstream of the culvert and ending approximately 75 feet downstream of the culvert. These pools and riffles are detailed on the plans including stone size, location, number, width, and elevation. The modifications to the streambed are critical in nature and care should be taken to meet the specifications indicated in the plans and details. Project completion must be certified by our office and will not be granted unless these features are completed to satisfaction of the Design Engineer.
