Additional (future) developments from the masterplan will need to be considered in the phase 1 implementation as these elements will be integrated into the overall design. These include a day camp area, destination nature playground, picnic shelters, and additional trails. Infrastructure pathways for future developments will need to be designed into the phase 1 project as well. These include roadway and trail intersections, considerations for future CCTV / data, water extensions, and power extensions. The park is located at 18100 Mission Road in unincorporated Johnson County, Kansas. The site is former agricultural land and does not have developed access roads or utility infrastructure. The professional services require expertise and experience in the design of park roadways, utility infrastructure, parking lots, multi-used paved trails, prefabricated restroom building, lighting, and habitat restoration. An approved park masterplan will guide the phase one design. The professional disciplines may be from a single firm or from teams composed of a lead firm and subconsultant firms.
