The hardware and I/O upgrades will be completed at the following 7 facilities: Solids Handling Building Screen and Grit Building Sludge Storage Building RAS and Chemical Building Chemical and Blower Building #1 and #2 Auxiliary Influent Building Primary Influent Pump Station Building Hardware replacement: Remove 8 existing legacy Allen-Bradley 1769 platform PLCs and install current Allen-Bradley 5069 platform hardware Application conversion: Convert 8 PLC applications to the new platform and resolve physical and logical differences in the new I/O structure. Electrical and wiring modifications: Perform electrical contractor wiring modifications necessary to align existing field wiring with the new hardware. SCADA integration: Modify the plantwide SCADA application and remote nodes to integrate properly with the new I/O structure. Spare hardware provisioning: Supply and maintain a designated spare PLC unit on-site to support rapid replacement in the event of hardware failure. Controller programming backups: Provide compiled programming files for each controller on physical flash drives delivered to the municipality. Staff training: Conduct dedicated operational training for City of Niles IT and maintenance staff on flashing and loading controller programming locally, supporting rapid disaster recovery without waiting for external service dispatch. System commissioning: Test, verify, and commission all new hardware, field wiring, application code, and SCADA links
