Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The City of Pittsfield Highway Department has purchased an Arch Profile Salt Shed and is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to construct it at the DPS Highway building, located at 232 West Housatonic Street in Pittsfield. Plans and specifications that came with the purchase of the salt shed are attached hereto and hereby become part of the contract documents. The concrete foundation for the salt shed has been completed by City staff. All materials for the construction of the covered arch are on-site at the DPS Highway facility and shall be made available to the successful contractor. Construction shall be completed no later than November 20, 2026 in anticipation of winter. DPS Deputy Commissioner, Jason Murphy shall be the contact person for this project and shall be included on all communication during this project. The work area shall be kept clean and orderly on a daily basis. Any trash shall be removed from the site daily, unless the Deputy Commissioner makes other arrangements with the successful contractor. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
